My Journey
This is my very first blog post, and honestly, I’m not entirely sure how it all works but I’ll figure it out along the way – that’s part of the fun, right? Let me start by sharing a little bit about myself. For now, I will go by the name Stoat the Baw. It began as a joke between myself and Bouncy Baw and it just kinda stuck, so I thought why not make use of it here?
Also, I am a little nervous about putting myself on display with some of the personal information I plan to share so for now it’s Stoat the Baw.
I was born in the North of Glasgow in the winter of 1987. Like many others, I have been through my fair share of challenges – some of my own making, others not so much – but all of them have shaped the person I am today, and for that, I am truly grateful.
My journey hasn’t been an easy one. As a child, I experienced abuse that had a profound impact on my life. I have been homeless twice and have battled with my mental health for as long as I can remember, which at times led me to self-medicate with mostly alcohol and cannabis.
What Helps Me
I have a deep love for the outdoors, finding it incredibly healing for the mind and soul. As a keen wild camper and naturist, I embrace nature in its purest form. I’m passionate about photography, capturing the beauty around me, and I enjoy music of almost every kind—just not pop!
